Trimmer Platen Drive Upgrade for Reciprocating Screw Blow Molding Machines
Replace your splined crankshaft with a shaft which is double keyed and features split cranks. This enhanced system is designed to eliminate clearance at the crankshaft, which in turn greatly reduces the backlash which occurs due to the reversing load characteristic of your trimmer. This backlash is very damaging to your trimmer drive components because it introduces premature failure which will ultimately result in down time and lost production in your operation.
You can further upgrade your platen drive system by replacing your double 50 chain with double 60 chain. This chain provides increased strength, which translates to longer life and increased reliability.
These retrofit packages are available for trimmer models 10039, 10040, 10041, and 10042. The double keyed shaft, split crank retrofit only (not the double 60 chain retrofit) is available for model 10026 trimmers. Most 10041 trimmers built after 1993 already have these features.
