Extrusion Control Retrofit

Gain control of your extrusion process and increase reliability.  Cincinnati Milacron Extrusion has a MOSAIC Control upgrade that increases the productivity of older extruders with minimal capital expenditures. 

Features:

• The B&R hardware in combination with the MOSAIC software is fast, reliable, and intuitive.
• The operator station is equipped with a 15-inch, full color, touch screen.
• Rugged dust proof and liquid proof cabinetry is designed to thrive in an extrusion factory environment.
• Two USB ports are provided for easy printer connection and data transfer via a memory stick.
• Non-volatile memory is stored on a compact flash card. No hard drive to fail!

Retrofit Overview:

• The individual temperature controls, speed meter, load meter, and backpressure meter are replaced by the new operator station.
• A cover plate is installed over the former operator panel on the console cabinet.
• The new operator station is mounted on top of the existing console cabinet.
• A new B&R  I/O rack is mounted in the cabinet and interfaced to the existing machine components.
• A new 24V regulated power supply is installed.

Installation:

• It is recommended that a Cincinnati Milacron Technician be hired to assist with this work. Once the equipment is installed, all machine functions and all safety features will need to be tested for proper operation.
• The barrel and die zone PID algorithms need to be tuned for proper temperature regulation.
• Estimated installation and check out time is one man for five days.
• A qualified Cincinnati Milacron Technician can be provided on a time and expense basis.
