Milacron Introduces Live, Web-Based Customer Training

SERVTEK Services Product Offering Expanded

BATAVIA, OHIO – June 8, 2009… Milacron Inc., recognizing the need for flexibility and responsiveness in the current economic environment, has introduced a live, web-based technical training option that significantly reduces costs for its plastics processing customers by complementing and limiting the need for on-site training at customers’ plants or at Milacron’s facilities. The new on-line service is available to all plastics processors using Milacron injection molding machines of any age or vintage, a huge installed base.

“These Milacron specific training classes can be taken at home or right at work, requiring only a PC and an Internet connection,” said Roger Martin of Milacron's SERVTEK Services operations. “The customer does not have to invest in travel costs, and this type of training can reduce time away from the workplace.”

Milacron's web based training is being offered through a partnership with CFC-Solar an internationally recognized expert in industrial training. At NPE 2009, the major international trade show to be held in Chicago June 22-26, Milacron will have representatives at from both SERVTEK Services and CFC-Solar Booth # S24012 to address any questions and provide training solutions to customers.

Customers will view the technical presentations, interact with instructors, and participate in class from anywhere in the world where the Internet is available. Any training materials required will be provided in advance. “This is yet another way to contribute to overall sustainability and increase the productivity of our customers,” Martin said.

Classes will cover all Milacron lines of injection molding machines, including the MOSAIC Control, Roboshot, Maxima, Powerline, Magna MTG and others. The courses will be offered in one-to-two-hour class sessions minimizing employee time. General courses, such as fluid conditioning, schematic reading and hydraulic troubleshooting, will also be offered.
