Milacron and Sidel Settle Patent Disputes

CINCINNATI, Ohio - April 11, 2002.Milacron Inc. and Sidel Group have finalized a license agreement settling their patent litigation relative to their respective U.S. patents on a mutually acceptable basis. According to the agreement, for a one-time fee Milacron will grant Sidel a non-exclusive license to use Milacron's U.S. patented control technology, while Sidel will grant Milacron a non-exclusive, royalty-bearing license to make parts compatible with Sidel's U.S. patented mold designs for blow molding. In addition, their respective Federal District Court actions pending in the Eastern District of Michigan and the Northern District of Georgia, as well as Milacron's claims pending before the International Trade Commission, will be dismissed.
