Milacron Elects Harold J. Faig President and Chief Operating Officer

Ross A. Anderson Named Controller

CINCINNATI , Ohio – September 16, 2002…Milacron  Inc. (NYSE: MZ) has elected Harold J. Faig president and chief operating officer effective immediately.  In this position, he has responsibility for all operations – from design, engineering and manufacturing to sales, marketing and customer service – for the company’s global plastics technologies and industrial fluids businesses.

“Harold Faig’s election to president is an acknowledgment of the leadership he has demonstrated in building Milacron’s plastics technologies businesses to its world leading position,” said Ronald D. Brown, Milacron’s chairman and chief executive officer.

Mr. Faig, 54, joined the company in 1967 and began his career in plastics technologies in 1971.  Having held positions of increasing responsibility in technical services, product management and engineering, in 1990 he was elected a company officer as a vice president in the plastics technologies group.  In 1993 he was elected group vice president of plastics technologies, his most recent position.

Mr. Faig is a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers and serves on the board of directors of the Society for the Plastic Industry.  In 1998 he was inducted into the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) College of Fellows.  With undergraduate degrees in electrical engineering and business administration from the University of Cincinnati and the College of Mount St. Joseph, Mr. Faig also holds an MBA in multinational business from Xavier University.

Today Milacron’s board of directors also elected Ross A. Anderson, 45, to the position of controller, effective October 1.  He will succeed Jerome L. Fedders, who retires at the end of September after 21 years of service to Milacron.  In his new post, Mr. Anderson will become a company officer responsible for Milacron’s global accounting functions.

Mr. Anderson joined Milacron in 1989 and held the position of controller for U.S. plastics machinery until 1998, when he was promoted to his most recent assignment as controller for the plastics technologies group.  He holds an undergraduate degree in accounting and psychology from Hillsdale College and is currently completing an MBA at Xavier University.  He is a member of Financial Executives International.
