Milacron Elects Barbara Glenn Kasting Vice President - Total Quality Leadership

M. Bradley Baker Named Director Global Human Resources

CINCINNATI , Ohio –  September 19, 2002…Milacron Inc. (NYSE: MZ) has elected Barbara Glenn Kasting vice president – total quality leadership, effective immediately.  In this new position, she will be responsible for Milacron’s company-wide implementation of Lean and Six Sigma, as well as leadership development, and will report directly to Ronald D. Brown, chairman and chief executive officer.

"Milacron is committed to being a Lean organization focused on serving our customers with the highest-quality products, most cost-effective solutions and fastest response times,” said Mr. Brown. “And no one is better qualified to lead us in these areas than Barbara, who has been responsible for our Lean and Six Sigma efforts from the beginning.  Her new position will allow her to devote the bulk of her time to this critical mission.”

Ms. Kasting, 49, joined Cincinnati Milacron in 1980 and most recently served as vice president – human resources.  Previously, she held managerial positions of increasing responsibility in many of the company’s operations as well as on the corporate staff.  She has been a company officer since 1995.  She holds a B.A. degree in physics and philosophy from Vanderbilt University and a master’s degree in international business and economics from the Fletcher School of Tufts University. 

Succeeding Ms. Kasting is M. Bradley Baker, who assumes the position of director – global human resources, with responsibility for personnel and employee relations company wide.  Mr. Baker, 37, joined Milacron in 1991 and has served in a variety of human resource roles in both metalworking and plastics technologies operations and in corporate.  Most recently he was director – human resources for North American operations.  He holds a bachelor of science and bachelor of arts degree from Bowling Green State University and an MBA from Xavier University.
