Milacron marks start-up of new Queretaro, Mexico facility with two-day technology open house

Company is first North American OEM builder of injection molding machines with a local remanufacturing operation.

Mexican customers are ready to upgrade large, and growing, base of existing achinery.

Queretaro , Mexico, July 2006 – Milacron's new remanufacturing center in Queretaro, Mexico is celebrating its start-up with a two-day open house September 7-8, 2006.  The event runs from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day, featuring technology presentations, tours and opportunities to discuss projects.  Technical product presentations will provide an in-depth explanation of remanufacturing/retrofitting for all makes and models of injection molding machines.  In addition the performance advantages of new injection screw technology from ServTek will be detailed.  Experts will also review new injection molding processes, along with the new all-electric Milacron-Fanuc Roboshot S2000i-B machine, just introduced at NPE 2006.

"There are already thousands of Milacron injection machines in Mexico and the population grows every year as molders relocate machines from U.S. and Canadian operations," said Bob Strickley, Milacron Director of Marketing.  "There is also indigenous growth in Mexico requiring new machines, and as in the U.S., Mexican molders are seeking low-cost service providers who can upgrade productivity."

Milacron's new Mexican facility responds to this customer need for a more economical path to upgrade their machines, according to Mark Ruberg, Milacron Director of Aftermarket Services.  "We can save them tremendous cost and time for shuttling a machine to/from the U.S. for work," he said.  "The facility is a perfect stepping stone for Milacron to expand its aftermarket business and capture a greater share of the Mexican market.  It also strengthens our position as a supplier of new machines in this region, providing us a local base for customer support."

Milacron can remanufacture or retrofit any make, model or age of injection molding machine at the facility. Work can range from a simple automation or injection unit upgrade to a complete remanufacture of a machine to 2006 performance capability.

The address of the Queretaro facility is:

Milacron Mexicana Sales S.A de C.V.
Ave 5 de Febrero No. 1702-c Bodega 4
Zona Industrail Benito Juarez
