Milacron Names Robert K. Simpson President of Global Plastics Machinery

CINCINNATI, Ohio, November 17, 2006…Milacron Inc. (NYSE: MZ) today announced it has appointed Robert K. Simpson president of global plastics machinery, effective immediately.

“Bob Simpson’s experience and leadership skills align perfectly with the key initiatives we are driving throughout our global machinery businesses,” said Ronald D. Brown, chairman, president and chief executive officer. “His in-depth knowledge as an end-user of plastics machinery and technology, along with his proven ability to lead and get results, will be instrumental to achieving our sales growth and product cost-reduction objectives. We look forward to Bob playing a major role in taking Milacron to the next level.”

Mr. Simpson, 47, is responsible for all aspects of the operations, including engineering, manufacturing, sales, service and aftermarket. The heads of Milacron’s three major global plastics machinery businesses now report to him: Dr. Karlheinz Bourdon, injection molding; Mr. Guido Re, blow molding; and Mr. David Bertke, extrusion.

Mr. Simpson’s experience includes managing businesses in North America, Europe, and Asia.  He is the former president of Siegel Robert Automotive, a privately owned company and a leader in their market. Siegel Robert is one of the largest molders of plastics parts for the automotive industry in North America.  Prior to that, he was at Textron, then the largest plastics molding company in the world, where he held a succession of positions of increasing responsibility including president of Kautex Textron North America, a global supplier specializing in plastic blowmolded automotive fuel systems.

Mr. Simpson earned a bachelor of science in manufacturing engineering from Miami University of Ohio in 1982 and an M.B.A. from Western International University in 1992.
