Milacron to Expand Services and Presence in Mexico

Creation of Plastics Technology Service Center in Queretaro
Serves Market with Increased Speed and Efficiencies

Queretaro, Mexico, April 1, 2009...Milacron Inc. (MZIAQ.PK) today announced that its Queretaro, Mexico operation is now open and operating as the Milacron Plastics Technology Center. This move provides local and expanded services to its customers in Mexico.

“The new facility signifies our ongoing dedication to making a positive impact on customers in this market,” said Ross A. Anderson, president of Milacron’s machinery technologies in North America. “As a recognized leader in Mexico over the last 25 years, we remain committed to serving our large installed customer base, as well as new customers, with best-in-class equipment and expanded aftermarket services.”

The service center brings together Milacron’s Uniloy, Extrusion, Ferromatik, U.S. Injection Machinery, SERVTEK and Cimcool businesses all under one roof for optimal efficiencies. Centralizing the businesses in this larger facility is a real benefit to customers. The new operation enables Milacron to combine technical and analytical talents, enhance machinery services to customers as well as expanding customer training.

“Every day we’re applying our knowledge to develop new technologies and help customers overcome challenges that are critical to their success,” said Anderson. “Our expanded services are helping customers even further to cut costs, increase productivity and become more competitive in today’s challenging market.”

Service offerings include the rebuild, retrofit and remanufacture of processing machines. This will make it easier for customers in the region to have their equipment serviced or upgraded quickly and cost effectively. Rebuilding used equipment locally represents a lower-cost solution for many customers requiring additional capacity. And the enhanced retrofitting capabilities will provide performance upgrades without the expense of new capital equipment.

The Queretaro facility will serve as the Mexico center for all local service, parts and manufacturing needs and will be the support base for the extensive sales, service and technical support network.

Prior to this move, several of Milacron’s businesses operated out of a smaller technical center in Mexico City facilitating sales, technical service, support and training which they’ve now outgrown. While the main operations are relocating, Mexico City remains an important market for the company and a local network of service and technical support for all Milacron machinery technologies will remain in the area.
