MILACRON’S New Tax Incentive Center Helps Customers “Green Up” Wallets and Processes

Determining Benefits Available From Economic Stimulus Act

BATAVIA, OHIO, June 3, 2009…Milacron Inc. announced it has opened a new Tax Incentive Center to help customers determine their potential benefits from the “American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009,” the tax code provision to incentivize investment by U.S-based manufacturing firms. Milacron’s tax incentive center will operate out of its headquarters in Batavia, Ohio, and customer assistance will also be available at NPE 2009, the major international trade show to be held in Chicago June 22-26.

This service gives Milacron customers a dedicated resource to assist with the calculation of the impact of the new tax code on any given transaction and will include analysis and consulting at all levels – from purchasing manager to CFO to CEO/owner-operators of plastics processing firms. In addition, the center will help investigate other potential incentives and benefits that may be available to customers including new finance plans, energy rebates and state and incentives regarding investment in plastics processing machinery. To these ends, Milacron will post tools and further information on its company web site, www.milacron.com.

The program offers U.S.-based customers the opportunity to benefit from tax depreciation savings as it applies to the purchase of new equipment for injection molding, extrusion and blow molding, as well support equipment for manufacturing systems.

“Milacron is very supportive of this customer program and is putting resources in place to make it successful,” according to Bob Strickley, Director of Marketing. “It’s been quite a while since incentive programs like these have been available for plastic processors. The opportunity to save money on new machinery is now.”

There at least six potential incentives that can benefit Milacron customers:

  1. New highly productive machinery
  2. The benefits of “Earth Friendly Technologies.”
  3. Tax depreciation benefits
  4. Energy related rebates
  5. State and local level incentives
  6. Additional Milacron finance programs
