Gerold Schley Named Managing Director of Ferromatik Milacron
BATAVIA, OHIO, January 15, 2010. Milacron LLC announced today that it has named Gerold Schley to Managing Director of Ferromatik Milacron Maschinenbau GmbH (FME). Schley will assume global responsibility for all of Ferromatik’s injection business. He will continue to hold the role of Vice President China Operations and Global Sourcing for Milacron. Schley will report directly to David Lawrence, President – Milacron Worldwide Plastics.
This cements the 26-year relationship between the two companies.
Schley, 49, has served as Milacron’s Vice President of Global Sourcing since 2006. Prior to that, he held a number of managerial and consulting positions for sourcing, logistics and production planning with a variety of European manufacturers including several years at FME in Germany. Most recently, he has led Milacron’s plastics machinery operations in China to significantly increased profitability.
Lawrence said Schley’s depth of experience ideally positions him to advance Milacron’s commitment to equipping customers with the technologies, services and expert support they need to succeed in today’s demanding marketplace.
“Gerold has had a very positive impact on our operations in China and we are confident in his ability to further strengthen the management team at FME,” said Lawrence. “In his expanded role, he will be able to leverage the strengths of both FME and Milacron’s China operations to the benefit of our customers in these markets.”
Schley assumes his new role at FME as successor to Guy Moilliet who is retiring.
