POWERLINE – The Most Productive All-Electric Machine in the Industry

Simpler, faster, cleaner, quieter.
Available in 440, 550, 750, 935 and 1125 US ton models with in-line reciprocating screw injection units or SIDEWINDER two-stage injection units.
The Powerline All-Electric Series has been upgraded to new levels of precision and reliability enhancement with the new MOSAIC Control.

POWERLINE Clamp Features

  • Powerline’s clamp unit is recognized as one of the most durable in the industry. Faster clamp speeds, shorter cycle times, increased productivity and processing profitability are all hallmarks of Powerline clamp performance features.
  • Graphite-impregnated bronze bushings ensure low frictional forces and reduce the lubrication and maintenance required. The reduction of heat increases the bushing life which ultimately keeps the platens parallel and reduces long term mold wear.

POWERLINE Clamp Assembly

  • Rack and pinion powertrain clamp drive. The rack and pinion system reduces backlash potential and accelerates faster than a ball screw or hydraulically power-driven system. The motor mounts directly to the gearbox, eliminating the need for belts and pulleys.
  • Die Height Adjustment Gear Motor
  • Eight pin double shear clamp with hardened steel toggle pins and reduced lubrication bushings.
  • Easy access to knock-out bar for quicker set-ups. Position transducers with readout precision 0.001" for accurate positioning of moving platen and ejector.
  • One center-acting ejector rollerscrew provides 180° belt-pulley contact, eliminating the need for timed components.
  • Faster, more durable aster, more durable moving platen skates distribute loads evenly and at lower forces due to the large bearing surface. The shoe extends past the face of the moving platen and past the rear moving platen bushing to reduce platen tipping with large mold weights. This reduces mold wear and moving platen bushing wear for high speed precision for years to come.

Superior Rollerscrew Technology

POWERLINE Rollerscrew Technology is superior to that of ball screws used in other injection molding machines.

  • More points of contact than ballscrews.
  • No room for backlash.
  • Withstands high shock loads.
  • Very high load ratings due to fine thread.
  • Lower inertia than ball screws for very high acceleration and deceleration rates.
  • Ballscrews will skid. Rollerscrews will not skid.
  • Rollerscrews have very high running speeds, five times the RPM of ballscrews.
  • Very low maintenance because the nut rotates, and the screw does not rotate.
  • Nut rotation results in cleaner operation.
