Milacron Enhances Roboshot S2000i-B Series of Injection Molding Machines |
New Injection Unit Sizes available on several models!
Several Roboshot S2000i-B Series machines
have been enhanced with new larger injection unit options.
The Roboshot S2000i-B Series, manufactured
for Milacron by Fanuc Ltd. of Japan, is the recognized market leader
for all electric machines in the under 400 ton category in the
America’s market.
New Injection Unit sizes available are:
- The Roboshot S2000i-B 55 ton
machine is now available with a 2.54 oz. injection unit.
- The Roboshot S2000i-B 275 ton
is now available with a 21.31 oz. injection unit.
- The Roboshot S2000i-B 330 ton
is now available with a 35.20 oz. injection unit.
“There are over 27 variations for injection units across
the product line offering a very broad and capable processing
window for plastics molders. The new sizes continue our
commitment to serve our customer requirements in every possible
way,” states Kent Royer, Product Sales Manager for
the Roboshot product line.
The Roboshot Series has a strong
market position in the medical, electrical and other high precision
markets and has the reputation as a “plug and play” all
electric machine.
“The Roboshot S2000i-B Series provides
great overall performance, reliability and advanced processing
capability, resulting in the best value in an all electric molding
machine for all industry segments,” states George
Yarnell. Milacron introduced the first all electric machine with
the first ACT Series machine displayed in the USA in 1984.
The injection unit enhancements
were the result of customer requests from custom molders for specific
sizes. Custom molders have embraced the Roboshot technology
as a competitive edge machine due to operating precision. The
enhancements also met the changing requirements among high precision
medical molders and electronic connector molders in the America’s. According
to Bob Strickley, Director of Marketing at Milacron, the Roboshot
Series has emerged as not only a machine for the precision
molder in the America’s but a real value for the custom molders.
“The
issue is total operating cost and the Roboshot has a long proven
track record of being very cost effective. We have many
success stories associated with this machine technology having
a significant impact on reducing total operating costs for our
customers. The total costs include overall maintenance costs,
service parts costs, total energy consumption, overall
operating precision which leads to reduced scrap, and for some, a
significant reduction in mold wear. These
advantages coupled with the new technology from SERVTEK on
injection end technology has resulted in a very strong competitive
advantage for many molders,” states Strickley.
All Roboshot S2000i-B Series
machines are available with Milacron’s SERVTEK injection
end products including the BARR VBET screw
technology, MELTSTAR, WEARSTAR, KLEARSTAR and PVCSTAR products. In
addition the wear-resistant StarGuard encapsulation
process is available on all injection end products.
