Mold-Masters offers a wide range of hot runners designed to cater to the specific needs and demands of the industries and markets we serve. We recognize the differences in each, and as such, have developed solutions to optimize the molding performance of your hot runner system no matter your application or choice of resin. With one of the largest R&D budgets in the industry, Mold-Masters has developed 5 unique hot runner series focused on delivering the highest molded part quality possible while improving operational costs.

The NEW Dura+ series of hot runners have been introduced to produce exceptional part quality and clarity when molding clear parts, a key requirement in the automotive lighting industry. Lighting products often use PC and other corrosive resins that can react with steel, causing imperfections that appear as black specking on the molded part. Dura+ components feature full stainless steel construction for its unique anti-corrosive properties, maintaining steel integrity and helping to eliminate these types of part defects.

There are 2 types of Dura+ nozzles to optimize molding conditions under any circumstances, Dura+ and Dura+F.

DURA+

The ideal nozzle choice where shorter nozzles, with precise thermal profiles and reliable single heater zones, are preferred.

FEATURES:

Brazed heater technology

  • Heater channels designed and tested to optimize molding performance of lighting resins.
  • Excellent thermal profile (10% max variation*) for optimized processing window.
  • Smaller OD than heater bands minimizes cut out dimensions.
  • Reliability that often outlasts the life of the tool.

Dual High Temp. TC

  • Built-in redundancy speeds up service and minimizes downtime.

Specialized High Shot Weight Capacities

  • Shot sizes from 50g to over 3,500g.

Flanged Design

  • Facilitates easy nozzle installation on angled manifolds.

DURA+F

A Fusion style nozzle ideal for applications that require longer nozzle lengths to achieve gate access.

FEATURES:

Nozzle Lengths up to 1,000 mm

  • Available in any specified length up to the maximum to suit the varying applications of any mold design.

Marine Brass Heater Sleeves

  • Heater channels are tested and optimized for exceptional thermal balance and consistency along the length of the nozzle unlike traditional heater bands.
  • Excellent thermal profile for extending processing window, preventing resin degradation.
  • Multi-zone heat control along extended nozzle lengths allows for precision adjustments to the molding process.
  • Snap Retaining Ring is easily removed for field disassembly and replacement of sleeves in seconds.

Specialized High Shot Weight Capacities

  • Shot sizes from 500g to over 3,500g.

Available Flanged Design

  • Facilitates easy nozzle installation on angled manifolds.
