John Gallagher Joins the Milacron Team as Chief Operating Officer

Experienced Executive Leader Joins Strong Milacron Organization

Milacron LLC, the global leader in high precision plastic processing technologies and control systems, are pleased to announce that John J. Gallagher III joined Milacron on May 1st as COO – Melt Delivery & Control Systems / Fluid Technologies / Finance and Shared Services. In this newly created role, John will be responsible for Mold-Masters, DME, Cimcool and the internal Milacron services of Finance, Human Resources, Legal, and Information Systems. John is very familiar to Milacron, as he has served on the Milacron Board of Directors as Chairman of the Audit Committee since August, 2012. “When you combine the comprehensive machinery business with our melt delivery and control systems, mold accessories, and fluid technologies businesses, you have the complete package. No other business has that breadth of offering. We truly have the ability to serve our customers from pellet to part with a full life-cycle service offering”, said Gallagher.

Previously, John served as Executive Vice President of Celanese Corporation and President of Acetyls Intermediates and Celanese Asia, the largest division of the company with over $3 billion in revenue. He had also served as Chief Financial Officer for Celanese. Prior to Celanese, he was CEO of Great Lakes Chemical Corporation, prior to that, CFO at Great Lakes Chemical, and before that, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for UOP, a leading manufacturer of catalysts and a licensor of petroleum refining and petro-chemical processes. He started his industrial career first at AlliedSignal as Director of Finance, Mergers, and Acquisitions and later became Chief Financial Officer with AlliedSignal Bendix Heavy Vehicle Systems Division. Prior to AlliedSignal John was Merger and Acquisition Specialist with Price Waterhouse LLP.

John has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Delaware and is also a CPA. John Gallagher is also a member of the Board of Directors of Kraton Performance Polymers, Inc. a leading global producer of engineered polymers.
