Vice President – Continuous Improvement Named
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Helbling as Vice President of Continuous Improvement, a new position, reporting directly to me.
Jeff is tasked with the development of a comprehensive, lean, business enterprise operating system for Milacron. He has over 27 years of manufacturing management experience in a diverse range of products, including jet engines, aerospace lighting, industrial gearboxes and power systems, aerospace hydraulic systems and industrial control valves. In addition to his most recent experience as Vice President Global Operations / Director Operational Excellence at Circor International, Jeff has also held key roles at Rexnord, Allied Signal/Honeywell, Delphi-Harrison Thermal Systems, Pratt & Whitney and GE Aircraft Engines.
Jeff studied mechanical engineering at the University of Cincinnati and holds an MBA from Xavier University. In addition, he is a Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Expert, holds APICS certification, and has extensive training and experience in implementing the Kaizen/Toyota Production System.
In this newly created position, Jeff will provide strategic direction, and tactical implementation, leadership, and support for the development of the lean business enterprise operating system throughout the global organization. Based on his background in machining, he will also provide leadership and oversight to our machining strategy, globally. Over the next several months, Jeff will visit many Milacron operations to assess the state of current, continuous, improvement programs and systems. He will work very closely with our operations and business leadership to enhance and maintain a culture of continuous operational improvement with a primary focus on:
- Manufacturing processes
- Transactional processes (Finance and HR)
- Supply Chain / Procurement processes
