Clean Room Technology

NOT JUST CLEAN, IT’S IMMACULATE

Great design freedom, complex shaping and high efficiency are just a few of the advantages that have opened up new markets for injection molding in recent years. This continuing trend has been possible because injection molding companies have intensively scrutinized regulations and industry guidelines in these new markets. While products for the medical and food industries place great demands on sterility and hygiene, cleanliness and particle-free areas are essential for molded parts used in the automotive, electrical engineering and telecommunication industries. Clean room technology, tailored to the specific application, is the economical way to meet these demands.

Clean room conditions are achieved by using filters of various classes to remove particles from the air. The filters act like a grid by not letting through particles of a certain size. Air cleaned this way is classified according to the number and size of remaining particles and the type of flow. The highest air purity is achieved by laminar air flow. However, this level of purity is not required for the majority of injection molding products.

The moment the molded part leaves the mold it is sterile due to the high processing temperatures. It is also clean when suitable material and mold technologies are used. Clean room technology ensures that the molded parts are not contaminated by subsequent processing steps and equipment. Diverse and customized solutions are possible, depending on your quality requirements, local existing conditions, required degree of purity, existing peripherals and on the expertise of your personnel.

Together with our partners, who are highly experienced in clean room technology, we offer you a broad range of customized solutions. One easy and cost-effective solution uses a mobile clean room for only the molding area of a standard injection-molding machine. We also offer a comprehensive range of modified injection-molding machines used in dedicated clean rooms.

Our application engineers will explain to you the difference between clean and immaculate. And they will gladly answer your questions and provide advice on the subject of clean room technology.
