1985
Expanded Product Offerings
After a little over 10 years in the plastics industry, Milacron brought over a dozen new products to the market including the newly developed all-electric drive injection molding machine.
1993
Milacron Acquired Ferromatik
Ferromatik is a leader in plastic injection molding machinery in Europe. This acquisition not only increased our product offerings but established Milacron in European markets. Two years later, we continued to grow the Ferromatik brand by establishing production in India.
1996
Milacron Acquired DME
This year marked our entrance into the mold technologies industry with the acquisition of DME. DME is a leader in tooling technology with unrivaled capabilities to assist customers in selecting the correct melt delivery systems, mold configurations, and thermal (cooling) systems to ensure parts will perform in fit, form, and function.
2010
Introduced Servo-Hydraulic 2-Platen Design
After years of development, we introduced a new servo-hydraulic 2-platen machine design. This technology offers more efficiency. reliability, and precision, enabling our customers to produce more while lowering operating costs.
2013
Milacron Acquired Mold-Masters
Mold-Masters is a global leader in the plastics industry and is one of the world’s leading suppliers of hot runner technology and co-injection systems. This acquisition allowed us to increase product offerings to our customers.
2025
BAIN CAPITAL AND MILACRON
In 2025, Bain Capital officially acquired majority ownership of Milacron, marking a new chapter in our organization as a global leader in the manufacturing of plastics processing solutions, technology, and service.
